WHO Europe: Strategy on Child and Adolescent Health and Development

WHO/Europe developed a European Strategy on Child and Adolescent Health and Development in collaboration with Member States. It offers support to workshops countries so that Member States can build their own policies and strategies within the framework of the overall Strategy.

DETERMINE 2007-2010

DETERMINE establishes an EU Consortium for Action on the Socio-economic Determinants of Health (SDH), which aims to take forward the work of the WHO Commission on the SDH (CSDH) in an EU context. It brings together over 50 health bodies, public health and health promotion institutes, governments and various other organizations from 26 European countries.

EQUITY CHANNEL

Equity Channel is an international collaboration of organisations with aims to bring about the changes that will mean greater health equity for all - fair health. It stimulates and supports changes in policies at international, national and local levels, and brings together involvement from people from all backgrounds and communities.

 

 

European Community Health Indicators Monitoring System (ECHIM)

ECHIM is a project funded by European Union through the Programme of Community Action in the Field of Public Health (2003-2008). This three-year project aims at developing and implementing health indicators and health monitoring in the EU and all EU Member States. The ECHIM continues the work of the ECHI and ECHI-2 projects, and ends on 30.4.2008.

Healthy Lifestyle in Europe by Nutrition in Adolescents (HELENA) project

HELENA project includes cross-sectional, crossover and pilot community intervention multi-centre studies, as an integrated approach. HELENA will provide, for the first time in Europe, harmonised and comparable data about food intake among male and female European adolescents, taking advange of computer-based dietary assessment tools.

TEENAGE Project

The scope of the project TEENAGE is the prevention of socioeconomic inequalities in health behaviour in adolescents in Europe by collecting and disseminating evidence throughout Europe. TEENAGE aims to identify and evaluate the effectiveness of comprehensive policy approaches to address health inequalities.

 

EUPHIX -European Union Public Health Information System
